Born in Austria, Adelhard Roidinger received his masters degree in Architecture and Fine Arts at Graz, University ofTechnology 1967. He studied Double Bass and Jazz Composition in Graz, University of Music and Drama, Computermusic at IRCAM and Atelier UPIC in Paris. Further studies in Anthroposophy, Qigong, Shamanism, Transpersonal Psychology. Since 1969 he is working as an freelancing jazz artist and composer. He played and recorded with internationally renowned jazz artists. His musical field of activities covers playing with symphony orchestra as well as fusion, free jazz and solo performances with computer and visual components. His published works (Jazz improvisation & Pentatonic by advance music Rottenburg, The double Bass in Jazz, The Electric Bass in Jazz by Universal Edition, Vienna) are well known in the European jazz scene. Since 1969 he is performing regular on all main jazz festivals in Europe and his bass playing (upright bass and electric bass) can be heard on more the 30 LP's and CDs as a sideman , leader and co-leader.
