Born on july 21st 1986 near the beautiful Attersee (a quite big lake in upper austria) . 4 years of primary school and loads of ballet and dancing performances. Later the whole family moved to the capital of Upperaustria Linz, where Vera started an American Junior High School, called Linz International School. At the same time she joined a musical school for children and teens, where she was taught in all kinds of dancing as well as acting and of course singing. Always in search for drama, stage and performing, Vera signed up for a singing competition for kids on national TV, called Kiddy Contest by the age of 12. Her parents found out about it, when she appeared front page on newspapers as a result of her “self planned” pr campaign (including sending CVs secretly to journalists).
Vera started writing her own songs by the age of 12, using her piano and a pretty old tape recorder. Her love towards hiphop and soul music continued all through highschool and influenced her songs ever since. By the age of 15 friends took her to an open audition for the first version of “The Austrian Idol” , where by her own suprise (she didn`t even know anything about it) she made it straight to the top 12 finalists as the youngest competitor ever.
She moved to vienna and made the 4 th place, allthough everybody thought she would win the show. Only a few month later her mostly self written crossover album "Get ur funk done" was released on Universal Music Austria and earned fantastic reviews by critics and music lovers on a commercial as well as on an underground level. It was top ten in Austrian album charts
